Customer
You can sign up and create your customer account for free here. Please make sure to verify your email address.
You can create an enquiry on MERS via the Build Enquiry page. Please provide details of the location of your site, the machines you need and the dates.
Once you've submitted your enquiry, Suppliers with the equipment you require will send you offers for you to consider.
If you are happy with the quote you've been provided, you can book the supplier via 'Book Now' button on your enquiry.
Suppliers will suggest a date for delivery and provide any costs related to this.
For collection of your machine, please discuss directly with your supplier. You can send them a message via the Dashboard > Bookings > View Booking > Message.
MERS takes card payments for all bookings. However, if your booking is over 8 weeks long, you can also choose to pay via direct debit.
As a customer, you may cancel your booking up to 5 days before the start date.
You can send your supplier a message via the Dashboard > Bookings > View Booking > Message.
Please do review your supplier after your booking is finished. This will help other customers find the best suppliers!
MERS aims to provide a vast amount of equipment and suppliers to suit all rental needs. If you are struggling to get offers, try refining and submitting a new enquiry, or don't hesitate to please get in touch via our contact page and we'll try our best to help.
To avoid having multiple suppliers per enquiry, MERS encourages suppliers to fulfill the entire enquiry. This makes bookings and invoices much easier to manage.

Supplier
You can apply to become a supplier free here. We aim to review applications within 24 hours. Once approved you can sign in and start adding your equipment.
If there's a machine that's not listed by MERS, please send us an email at support@mers.uk or via our contact page and we'll add it for you.
Once you've set your enquiry preferences, you'll receive customer enquiries that match your preferences in terms of machine types and classes. For example, if you've set that you are interested in all enquiries to do with Excavators, then you’ll receive excavator-based enquiries within your supplier dashboard.
In your dashboard profile, we need you to provide your bank details via our secure payment provider Stripe. This will ensure you can get paid for bookings and any additional invoices. You can add your payment details here
Once you've added your payment details and your enquiry preferences, you can make an offer to a customer on any enquiries you receive. Click 'Make offer' and add your quote details to submit your offer to the customer.
You can add your terms & conditions to the platform in your supplier profile. Your customer will sign and agree these terms when booking on MERS.
When making an offer you can set the date you aim to deliver the machine to the site. The customer's address is provided on the booking.
For collection of your machine, please discuss directly with your customer. You can send them a message via the Dashboard > Bookings > View Booking > Message.
The MERS platform will automatically follow up with a customer for overdue invoices. However, MERS is a booking platform and can't take responsibility for a customer's non-payment. Please contact your customer directly over invoice disputes. If you continue to have issues with a customer please let us know, and we'll take appropriate platform action.
MERS charges a fee of 13% on all bookings and additional hours invoices, to cover our costs and associated transaction fees.
Yes, however MERS encourages suppliers to fulfil the entire customer enquiry, to avoid having multiple suppliers per enquiry.
Yes, you can offer a different machine brand or class so long as it's in the same category.
As a supplier, you may cancel your booking up to 30 days before the start date.
You can send your customer a message via the Dashboard > Bookings > View Booking > Message.
